Traditions
Explore the many fun events and traditions here at SRV Theatre outside of performances.

24 Hour Plays

Participators of this suspenseful event are tasked with writing a scene, directing, rehearsing, and performing to a live audience within the span of a single day. Writers begin writing up a play at 7pm - 11pm Friday night, and performances to the audience start at 7pm the next day after an entire day of rehearsals; directors begin working at 6am the same Saturday.
Major League Improv

MLI is the most anticipated show here at SRV. With a total of 3 seasons per year and 3 shows back to back per season, improvisors get hard at work through practice and teamwork.
Team captains choose 3 improvisors they want on their team the day of auditions, and have about a month until the big day. Two teams (green and gold) go through a series of improv games with suggestions given by the audience. The winning teams of the first 2 nights battle it out on the third night.
Socials

Each year, our amazing theatre officers plan out multiple social events that bring together every level of theatre. Filled with many fun activities, students are able to get to know each other better! Some events are correspondent to the season; the first social occurred during the late summer so it was a barbeque, and another was a white elephant gift exchange for the holidays.
Oregon Shakespeare Festival

Every year, students have the opportunity to take a life-changing field trip to Oregon in time for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Students get to view multiple shows produced by professionals and participate in fun acting activities.
Theatre Banquet

At the end of every school year, a banquet is held to celebrate the accomplishments of each actor in every theatre level and all the shows during the season.
